  • Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Whether they’re wreaking havoc across the United States, Europe, Asia, South America or Australia, showering fans with seemingly endless bottles of champagne, ripping up the music charts with immense original tracks, unbelievable collaborations and huge remix cuts from the A-list elite, or playing their part in the incredible rise of the Belgian mega-festival Tomorrowland, award-winning Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have become leading lights in the new wave of international dance music currently taking the planet by storm.

The brotherly duo, whose electrifying live combination of DJ sets and crowd-busting MCing has propelled them towards party notoriety, have been on the road since the mid-2000s and as each year has progressed, so their profile has become ever more significant. Scooping the hotly contested ‘Breakthough DJ’ award at the 2013 International Dance Music Awards (IMDAs), Dimitri & Mike are fast becoming major players and highly reputed producers, scoring their first ever Beatport #1 in March with the Moguai co-production ‘Mammoth’ (a track that sat atop Beatport for an incredible FOUR weeks, dominated global music charts, was named ‘Track of the Month’ by tastemaker site Dancing Astronaut and secured the impressive position of most played single throughout Miami Music Week itself) before repeating the feat in April with their second #1, the huge GTA/Wolfpack collaboration ‘Turn It Up’. Currently sitting at #38 in the DJ Mag Top 100, the pair work consistently with the likes of Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records, Tiësto’s Musical Freedom, Spinnin Records, Size Records, Axtone, Doorn Records, Wall Recordings and their own incendiary imprint Smash The House, proving themselves an increasingly integral part of modern day electronica’s elite. From their early works which include the Belgian #1 ‘Liquid Skies’ and the heavily supported reworking of Technotronic’s classic ‘Pump Up The Jam’, through to recent hits like ‘Madagascar’, ‘Rej’, ‘Alarma’, ‘Momentum’, ‘Loops & Tings’, ‘Generation X’, ‘Ocarina’ and ‘Wakanda’ (#2 on Beatport and officially the most highly played track of Ultra Music Festival 2013), plus collaborations with Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas (Phat Brahms), Lil Jon and Coone (Madness), the Swedish House Mafia (‘Leave The World Behind’ Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs. Swedish House Mafia Remix), Axwell (‘One Look’ DVLM & Axwell Remix) there remains absolutely no let up in the continual onslaught of high energy production coming out of the brothers’ studios.

At the age of 25, the young Dutch titan capped off a 10 year journey when he was crowned World’s No.1 DJ in the 2013 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll cementing his position as the electronic scenes newest superstar DJ and becoming the youngest ever winner of the coveted Top 100 DJs award. • Carl Cox

A professional DJ since his early teens. A musical ambassador and a veteran of acid house and a champion of techno – you name it, Carl's been there and done it, never losing sight of his passions – playing music, breaking tunes and celebrating life.
It was at the age of 15 that Carl was given a set of turntables and began working as a mobile DJ. Disco was the first music that captivated him but by the early 80s Cox had moved on to playing the same music as other young London DJs – rare groove, New York hip-hop and electro. He was perfectly placed to hear Chicago house music in its earliest forms, and when the epic 'Acid Trax' by Phuture (a.k.a. DJ Pierre) came out in early '87. “It was then that I thought, 'This is it,’ says Carl. “I would do my parties, and I'd play old rare groove and hip hop and soul and I would say 'Right you've got to hear this Phuture track’ and people would just stop. It's funny because all the people who thought I had freaked out then are the people who are making the music now."
As a founder of the sound, Carl rode the exploding British rave scene. He played the opening night of Danny Rampling's legendary Shoom, co-promoted The Project with Paul Oakenfold, held a residency at the Zap Club in Brighton and at the Sunrise rave in 1988, hooked up a third turntable for his dawn-breaking set, got 15,000 kids back on their feet, and established a personal rep for three-deck wizardry.
The next step was to make music, and Carl's 1991 debut single for Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto label, 'I Want You,' gave him a top 30 hit and a Top of the Pops appearance. Two more singles also made the charts. But Carl was a reluctant pop star and as the masses moved onto fluffy house and trance, and the hardcore created jungle, Cox retreated into the club world that had nurtured him and instead embraced the underground sounds of techno. "Techno drives home somewhere," he says of his core music. "It takes you to an element of surprise, not knowing where you're going. It's scary but wonderful at the same time."

  • Jason Derulo

Following a tumultuous 2012, Miami-born singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor Jason Derulo is gearing up for his comeback. Back in January 2012, Derulo suffered a catastrophic neck injury while rehearsing for a world tour to support his sophomore album Future History. He reveals that the "emotionally draining" accident gave him a greater appreciation for life and his career. "That one experience helped me to grow up in a second," he says. "I was on autopilot. I was going around the world. I was performing. I was just literally going through the motions...When that kind of thing is taken away from you, you realize how much you appreciate what you love doing and who you love."
After five months of physical therapy and working on his upcoming album, Derulo returned with the lead-single from his third album, “The Other Side.” Produced by Ammo (Katy Perry, Ke$ha) and Martin Johnson (Taylor Swift, Hot Chelle Rae, Hannah Montana, The Used), “The Other Side” became the #1 most added record on the Top 40 charts in 2013 with over 120 adds across the country in its first week: just 25 stations short of the all-time record set by former touring mate Lady Gaga.

  • John Digweed

Some DJ careers are built on hype. John Digweed’s career is built on substance. One of the planet’s most popular DJs, his sets never fall out of favour with clubbers the world over, as his relentless global gig schedule testifies. From ethereal, swirling cinematic soundscapes to energy-infused bass-bothering tech growlers, a new generation of clubbers are learning what we already know - that there’s nothing quite like being locked into a John Digweed set.
But John Digweed is much more than a DJ. Bedrock – his record label, promotions company and production partnership with Nick Muir – is a mothership of creative ingenuity and integrity that other labels orbit around. His vision for the Bedrock record label has been realized over 12 years, as he continuously seeks out mixes and remixes from the world’s best producers. Techno mainstays like Marco Bailey, Christian Smith and John Selway sit comfortably alongside hot new talent like Guy J in the Bedrock camp.

  • Sebastian Ingrosso

Sebastian Ingrosso is that rare thing in the world of dance music: a musician who understands the world of melodies just as much as he understands the power of the kick drum.
Sebastian’s father owned two record labels, and from the tender age of 14 Ingrosso could be found in the studio producing music. Now, as head of A & R for his label, Refune – this year celebrating its 10th anniversary, Sebastian is constantly discovering and developing new talents such as, Otto Knows, Style of Eye, AN21, Max Vangeli and of course rising star Alesso. His first official remix was released on Mega Records in 1999 and for over a decade Ingrosso has been releasing a steady stream of original tracks and remixes. 2013 saw Sebastian create ‘Reload’ along with Tommy Trash ft vocals of John Martin – the track to the summer, which went to #3 in the Uk and #1 in Sweden. Other tracks include ‘Leave the World behind’ on Axtone, and ‘Calling’ a joint effort with protégée Alesso. Of course there is also Seb’s other numerous achievements with the unforgettable Swedish House Mafia. Having announced their ‘One Last Tour’ in 2012, they went on to tour 36 cities racking up an impressive 56 shows over 5 months. Leading by example they set new standards with such chart-topping endeavours as ‘Save the World’, ‘One’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ – a #1 anthem that for true fans will go down in history.

  • Fedde Le Grand

Enjoying artistic freedom afforded only an elite few, Fedde Le Grand is a masterful pioneer of electronica, considered by countless fans and artists as one of the single most defining figures in house music. Whether as DJ or producer, Fedde’s influence can be felt throughout the electronic landscape; his creative beats, grooves, melodies and rhythms surround us.
Back in 2006, it was the seminal electro track ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ that not only brought Le Grand to global attention, but breathed fresh life into a stagnant house scene. Dubbed by many as the “Saviour of House”, it soon became evident that the Dutchman was no one-trick pony. Amongst others, tracks like ‘Let Me Think About It’, ‘Control Room’, ‘Sparks’, his remixes of Coldplay’s ‘Paradise’ and EBTG’s ‘Missing’, ‘The Creeps’, ‘So Much Love’, ‘Metrum’, ‘Autosave’, ‘Back & Forth’, ‘RAW’ and lastly his amazing remix for Nikki Williams’ ‘Glowing’ have established him as one of the most exciting and consistent talents around, demonstrating his effortless ability to move seamlessly between huge mainstream success and edgier, underground sounds. His 2009 debut artist album ‘Output’ was released in an incredible 64 countries worldwide, establishing him as one of the foremost creative forces in electronic music, while 2011 saw him accomplish a record-breaking 5 Beatport #1 tracks – including his reworking of ‘Paradise’ which earned him an opening set for Chris Martin’s super-band in Madrid. Increasingly in demand for his remix skills, Fedde’s talents have been called upon by a host of musical superstars, including Madonna, Coldplay and Robbie Williams to Will.i.am, Moby and Fatboy Slim.

  • Martin Garrix

Martin Garrix may not be a superhero or a secret agent, but he does possess two identities. A 17-year-old student by day, but when the sun goes down he can be found behind the decks in front of packed hotspots and festivals across the globe, fraternizing with electronic dance music royalty, tirelessly producing in the studio, and dropping records.
You probably know him for his monster hit ‘Animals’, that reached the #1 position in several countries worldwide including Holland, Belgium and England, as well as Top 5 in Australia, France, Spain, and Germany. Following up the success of "Animals", his remix of Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and Sander van Doorn’s "Project T" got supported by the biggest DJs around, after which his track ‘Wizard’ with Jay Hardway ascended #1 on Beatport, making it the youngest artists ever to reach the top spot on Beatport.com’s Main Chart. “I want to show everyone that if you pursue your dreams, they can come true no matter what. That's what I want to do."

  • Rehab

R3hab began his career in late 2008 while producing the track 'Mrkrstft' with Hardwell.[3] One of the main influences R3hab has listed is the Israeli duo Infected Mushroom, whose music has been on the international scene since 1999.
R3hab has remixed for artists like Lady Gaga, Madonna, LMFAO, Jennifer Lopez, Calvin Harris, Kaskade, Far East Movement, Pitbull, David Guetta, Dada Life and Katy Perry.

R3hab was signed by internationally-known DJ and record producer, Afrojack, to his Wall Recordings imprint and is quoted as being “one of its biggest talents”.
In 2012, R3hab started his own weekly radioshow on SiriusXM, titled "I NEED R3HAB".

  • Deniz Koyu

Since he first laid hands on piano keys at the tender age of five, Deniz Koyu has been a man obsessed with making music.
A producer’s producer – who counts Fedde Le Grand, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Tiësto, Avicii, Alesso, Erick Morillo, David Guetta and Calvin Harris among his biggest fans – the man behind hits ‘Tung’, ‘Hertz’, ‘Bong’, ‘Follow You’, and more spent his formative year immersed in the world of DJ and production hardware. Hard-earned pocket money was readily swapped for all the second-hand synths and drum machines he could find; hours were spent dissecting the works of Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk or Cassius; days were spent honing his DJ skills, editing his favourite tracks using nothing more than small tape recorders, sampling whatever he could lay his hands on. In 2011, when Koyu burst onto the global music consciousness with ‘Tung’ and ‘Hertz’, the obsession became a well-earned profession.
It was Fedde Le Grand who snapped up Koyu’s first two productions, using his Flamingo Recordings imprint to get the young producer a wealth of critical acclaim. Remixes for James Blunt’s ‘Dangerous’ and Kaskade’s ‘Turn It Down’ swiftly followed, becoming staples in the sets of the biggest artists at clubs and festivals around the globe. Le Grand voted Deniz his ‘Breakthrough DJ/Producer 2011’, Sebastian Ingrosso called him ‘big time talent” and Axwell replied to the question of a Swedish journalist if he had personal favourites among young DJs: “Deniz Koyu. He makes damn cool music at the moment.” In fact, en masse as the global powerhouse that was the Swedish House Mafia, Deniz’s tracks were supported in pretty much every single one of their sets over a year of constant touring, to the tune of three or four tracks per night.

  • Roger Sanchez

In Roger Sanchez’s eyes, music is cyclical. It’s about “drawing influences from the past and re-imagining it in a completely different way.” Hence why his forthcoming album will be called Roots.
Sanchez’s musical roots go back to the mid ‘80s, when the then-teenage breakdancer started DJing, and became fascinated with the new house music making its way to his hometown of New York from Chicago.
“At that time, the dominant forms of dance music in New York were freestyle and hip-hop, and house was almost the return of disco,” he says. “It was stripped down and four-to-the-floor, but there was something really magical about it, and it drew me in.”
He quickly moved on to producing — his early releases came out under the name Roger S. — and promoting. Many of Sanchez’s early parties were paid for with money he made selling mixtapes on the street in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village.
“It was me and a couple other guys that were on the block, and I’d stand there with a boombox and people would come up and buy the tapes,” he says. “That money was what I would use when I had to pay bar guarantees, and that’s when my real DJ following took off in New York.”

  • John Dahlback

Label owner, producer, remixer and DJ: there isn’t much John Dahlback hasn’t done during his decade-young career. Now, at just 28, he sits atop the global dance scene with a forthcoming album on one of the world’s leading (and largest) electronic labels Ultra and a diary that defines the term transatlantic as he jets back and forth between America, Ibiza and beyond. Rewind just on eleven years and we find John at the start of his professional journey, signing his first releases at the tender age of 17, which even by the youthfully dominated standards of the world of dance, is remarkable.
“It wasn’t that surprising I signed a track at such a young age,” he humbly explains, “I come from a musical background so it had been a part of my life from day one. Both my parents are musicians, as are many of my immediate family, which includes my cousin Jesper who a few of you may also be aware of!”
But, this debut turned out to be the tip of the iceberg, as the release marked the birth of a four hundred title discography. Whether it was deep house and techno for legendary imprints like Kompakt or Dessous, through to the later expansion of his style to incorporate the energy of big-room electro for the likes of Spinnin’, Protocol, Toolroom, Big Beat, Phazing and Wall there are few - if any - who can boast such a varied and impressive musical CV. However, what makes this achievement even more historic is that he also found time to establish and develop not one, but two labels all of his own.

  • Laurent Wolf

No Stress, lots of Harmony. Booked in the world, playing with time zones, with an intense production work for his new album that has produced a beautiful serenity. Laurent Wolf? The secret? "Passion, energy, good vibes and meditation," says the Frenchman, now settled in Tahoe CA, a few hours before going on stage for one of the fifty days of his summer tour. After the worldwide triumph of his previous album Wash My World, he put all his energy to do even better with Harmony. "I want to take you higher" Sly Stone sang. This might be the motor of Laurent Wolf.During his childhood, he discovered this ambition to lead the dance floor during birthdays, school parties, Christmas and New Year Eve. At 12, the Parisian boy build this own DJ Booth in his bedroom; while the figure of the deejay did not have that star aura which has attracted so many vocations now a days. Disco, funk, new wave, techno and dance vinyl?s collector, recording his first remix tapes at home; Laurent quickly understands the huge pleasure to control energies of a party and glow dance floors. In 1992, nightclub the Queen opened it?s doors to him, the first step to the stars and his first real school.
For over 10 years, he was the resident DJ of the Parisian nights legendary club,The Queen. On the Champs-Elysees, the place sparkles as a pioneer of house and electro hedonism. A temple of drag queens, gay culture and frenetic electronic party's, the place is also the first in Paris to host deejays stars (David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo...) when they were achieving their celebrity status.Inspired, Laurent Wolf switched towards production, firstly by remixing tunes with sampler and sequencer, before composing his own tracks. His first attempt quickly transformed into gold

  • Ralvero

Dutch born and raised DJ Ralvero, or Ralf Baartmans as he’s known to his family and close friends, is from Roosendaal, a small city in the south of the Netherlands. From a very early age he was fascinated by music and always practicing on pots and pans before finally getting his first professional drum lessons. After practicing and developing his drum skills for six years, Ralvero was ready to unleash his own produced tracks to the world.
His very first release “Party People” back in 2009, was picked up by leading dance label Sneakerz MUZIK, a subsidiary of Spinnin’ Records, and was one of the fine and early examples of the now popular ”EDM” sound. It was supported by all the heavy hitters in the game, including international stars like Chuckie, Laidback Luke, Axwell, Carl Cox and many others. The track made it to countless compilation albums and is still considered a classic dance floor filler which, to this day, pops up in playlists around the world. Due to the popularity of the “Ralvero sound” he was asked to do remixes for labels such as Defected (UK), Strictly Rhythm (US), and Ultra (US). His version of “De Bos – On The Run” for Cloud 9 was one of the most stand-out remixes according to Ralvero himself. Next to his great production skills he was fine-tuning his DJ skills and was asked to join 1Management agency back in 2010. The immense popularity of his sound led him to perform all over the world in places like Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, Athens, Istanbul, Paris and London.

  • Nervo

These multi talented DJ dynamos are the all-time top-ranking female DJs in the world, voted by their legions of fans to No. 16 on DJ Magazine’s influential 2013 “Top 100 DJs” poll. In-demand and beloved across the globe, their nonstop schedule takes them from the shimmering beaches of Ibiza, to their studio in their home-away-from-hometown of London, to the towering Main Stage of Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. And everywhere they go, their infectious energy, fearless personal style, and deep love and understanding for the music precedes them.
Mim and Liv’s career caught fire in 2009, when they co-wrote the the emphatic and grand global hit “When Love Takes Over” – for David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. But their journey into dance music started years prior in the festival fields of their native Australia, when as teenagers they went all-out for life-changing electronic acts like The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, and Fatboy Slim.
